PDX Concourse E Extension - Topping Out.
REFA Places Final Beam for Concourse E Extension.
Portland, Oregon
REFA Steel Erectors placed the final beam at the Portland International Airport Concourse E extension. This marks the end of a historic project that was completed safely, and on schedule in spite of major challenges with the weather. The 830-foot extension will be a fresh architectural addition to Portland International Airport. Travelers flying on Southwest airlines will have six new comfortable gates filled with natural light, a hand crafted hanging art installation, choice local food and drink options, and sweeping views of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood. Alaska and Southwest airlines are currently the largest carriers at the airport, and this expansion will help balance passenger impact reducing overcrowding and wear and tear on the south side.
